Obviously, we want nothing but the very best for Jagex and the continued well-being of
OSRS gold
, but the Sal's community has asked itselfcan we encourage this latest movement by Jagex to execute micro-transactions, a transfer they themselves only a few decades back would have deemed unethical? The solution is no. Even as expensive as it might be for you to buy enough spins to progress a skill to level 99, it remains the possibility exists for a Jagex-sponsored RWT extravaganza.
Sal's Realm of RuneScape has been brought forth from the love of a match by a single man. It has since grown into a community filled with different people from different walks of life. We are proud to hold a Platinum-level fansite rating, because it shows our commitment into this match, the high standards set by Jagex, and the player-community. But because we've got such love for this match, we must ask that Jagex reconsider their decision, and remember that the soul of this game is what brings people into it.
It's highly unsatisfactory, upon login, to view Jagex pushing the Squeal Wheel so sharply, in addition to
buy RuneScape gold
so prominently displaying the option to pay real-world money to purchase more spins. That is such a far cry from the original stances supposedly held by this company that it is nauseating. Jagex's disregard for participant safety by making it so simple to purchase spins with saved credit card info opens less-aware players as much as hardship when their accounts password is stolen. What's more, Jagex's and their evident intent to take advantage of their customers --especially younger gamers --in what is essentially a type of betting is deeply troubling to clients who recall a far more"players-first" RuneScape that has gradually been eroded as time has progressed.
These remarks could well end in Sal's losing its Platinum-level rating. But we are servants to our community, and we feel confident knowing that those views are keeping with the authentic spirit of the game, which perhaps has been the driving force of this site for many of its years. This is a choice of conscience. We can't in good faith support this movement by Jagex.
